Once your domain name is registered, you need to connect it to a hosting server to start your online presence.

Domain name and hosting servers are both important components of a website. 

 

Every website is linked from a hosting server. The Hosting server represents as a house that stores all your images, video, text, audio, and other related media that is viewed in your website.

 

When you buy a hosting server, domain names are free for a year or lifetime (It totally depends on the provider). Or when you buy a domain, you can also buy a hosting server within that same provider. These are the common scenarios but it is also perfectly possible to buy a domain name from one provider, and a hosting server from another provider.

 

I personally recommend this. 

 

There’s a lot of domain registrars, Namecheap is my favorite. As the brand name applies “the name is cheap”.
